Music Directors

The Chorus welcomed Jeanne Lucas as our Music Director in the Fall of 2017.  A native of Lexington, Kentucky and a vocalist by training, Jeanne holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Northwestern University and a Masters degree from the Longy School of Music, both in Vocal Performance.

Jeanne has been conducting choirs in churches and communities in Massachusetts for over fifteen years in Lexington, Wellesley, and Cohasset and serves as the Music Director of the Quincy Point Congregational Church in Quincy, MA.  She has sung professionally with the Labyrinth Choir, Capella Clausura, Boston Lyric Opera, Boston Secession, various early music ensembles, and a couple of bluegrass bands for good measure.

Jeanne brings a wide range of musical interests – from Broadway to Baroque to Bluegrass – and delights in engaging all kinds of people who love to sing and experience the joy of making music together.

Ed Barresi has been our Piano Accompanist since 2007.  Ed graduated from Boston University School of Music with a degree in classical piano performance.

As Musical Director/Piano Accompanist for the Jamaica Plain Footlight Club and Fontbonne Academy, Ed performed in many productions including The Music Man, Oliver, George M., Godspell, The Wiz, and Anything Goes.  Ed has also served as Conductor for the Boston Postal Chorus, and Piano Accompanist for the Westborough Community Chorus, the Southeastern Massachusetts Festival Chorus and the Charles River Sinfonetta Orchestra.

Ed has also provided piano accompaniment for silent movie screenings and played big band music with “The Continentals”.
